Phoebe been carried by ah ma..

busy!!

aiyo....its been a busy mth for me! almost 1 mth never blog....

i've been busy with red brick...coz MILK was in town and its my first artiste promotion! wow...it was a good experience. gotta know more pp in the industry, and of coz, MILK was fun! basically my job was just to entertain him, and of coz, i have to run the errands and do setups. dun tink i very eng hor...i tink we do get along quite well; hope he tinks like wise lah...

as for my property, i have some lobangs :) good news! i have a few buyers on hand and i'm happy with that for a start. even brought them to viewings already. i was so kan cheong! surprisingly, i tink i did quite well lah, which makes the owner of 1 house that we viewed, called me to look for a house for her. and her budget? 1 million!!!!! if i were to close her case, hahahahhh...tink my mouth cant close for 1 week!

so continue to work hard...seems my future is quite bright!!!

its has been a busy weekend filled with children's activities.

went to ah meng's baby boy, liang hong's 1st mth celebration. he looks like his dad and i think he looks a bit skinny..well not every baby is as strong as phoebe tan..haha...

there were many babies there also. and as usual, brenda is there, and we saw huayan :) huayan is such a shy gal...she don't talks to other pp, and she sticks tightly to her father.

the tan family is getting a stronger strength. sis is also pregnant again! great news...its good that all the children are abt the same age so they can grow up together.

i took phoebe and mummy to Michelle's baby, Tesia's 1yr old party last sat, 25th Nov @ Carlton Hotel. wow! it was a grand event. there were like more than 10 tables? like a mini wedding. sewping, claire and david were there too.

tesia is exactly 6mths older than phoebe..wat a coincidence. Tesia looks a lot like daddy raymond. she's so sweet :) the whole ballroom was decorated with pink balloons on each chair. goodness! so so girlish!

wonder what i will do to phoebe's birthday? won't be as grand lah....haha...michelle also did a scrapebook of tesia's photos. very nice!

i really cant imagine, say 4 yrs ago? we will new to radio sales. mich and i were in the same training batch. i just graduated from poly then...now we are both mummies! time flies....i tink time really forces us to grow up and be more matured.

i havent been to bangkok for a really long time. the last recent time that i was supposed to go was 17, but i was down with chicken pox the day before flying!! so mum and dad went in the end.

this time round, was really a coincidence. me, ck, david and ken were on the car, with loads of food, one day. and we mentioned we were like going on an excursion...so we say, why not?? lets drive up to KL..but in the end, we decided to go bangkok, thanks to ck. since he's so familiar and we havent been there, so lets go!! but ken didnt want to go, so the 4 of us went ahead.

we went on thurs, took the5.20pm flight...when we touch down at the new airport it was already 8plus....we check in at Davis Hotel @ Sukhumvit Soi 24....the recep upgraded us to a suite, with 2 rooms...wow!!!

we then went to the chinatown, nanxing restaurant to have shark fins and bird nest. that meal cost us a bomb!! but its was good food...thick one piece fin...in sg might cost us more..but to our surprise, there was an even better dish...grilled pork! it was the best pork that we have ever eaten! cripsy and flavourful...mouthwatering!!

we then proceed to patpong, where our main motive was to go and see some gogo boys! along the streat, we were attacked by the "bar sales", to go into their bars...very scary, they will pull and brush your arm...yeecks!!

we settled with one quite clean looking one and we went in. it was very cheap. only $10? with a drink? we sat on the first row, jus in front of the stage..i was scared!!! aiyo!!! there are so many boys in their tiny white undies...to look or not to look, that's the question! to keep the story short, it was an eye opener! like what i've to told ck: "i've never seen so many c**ks in my whole life!".

the rest of the days were in a mad rush, went to siam sq, thai massage, Gilbert's house, MBK, To Die For in H1, Golden Palace for boy cruising, Chatuchak and back to MBK again, for the good and memorable pig trotter rice..sedap!

it was a good and fun trip..thanks to ck and david for being such good tour guides, and of coz, Gilbert for a nice sg-thai host! and his maids, for such a wonderful dinner, esp the crispy fish!!

yesterday, we went east coast for a afternoon picnic! it was jody's birthday, so the whole family decided to go for an outing. i made the japanese jelly...to think that i used to make them very often, always forgotten that i knew how to make.

i was so excited! i wanted to let phoebe stand in the waters, to experience the wave :) i put her in a swimsuit (passed down from zoey). she wasn't very scared and i think she quite enjoy :)

it was a fun day, sth that we have never tried before ourselves..its only when we have kids and a big family that we can enjoy such family blessings...

look at this!! phoebe starts to sit without any support! soon she will learn how to crawl...i'm so happy.

for the past 2 nights, i didnt bring phoebe home...coz thurs got farewell dinner, and yesterday i went to watch dim sum dollies (to my disappointment)...then when i bring phoebe back tonight, she doesnt seem very happy. and when i want to put her to sleep, she cry and cry. i think she is beginning to recgonise places and she's surprise why she's not sleeping at grandma's place.

sigh..tmr night is weny's wedding. i will not bring phoebe back again as the dinner will end late and it will be past her sleeping time. next thu to sun, i will be going bangkok with CK. phoebe will have to be at grandma's place. think i must stop all these night outings already. i want phoebe to sleep with me every night..

last day!

always talk abt phoebe, now phoebe mama wants to talk abt herself...

yesterday was my last day! its a 2.5 yrs stint at 933. fun, tiring, gossips, complaints, many experiences.....

everybody ask wat did i feel...i didnt feel sad though.

felt relieve ba...a bit lost though, but its ok. i have my plans. hope my plans work out well lah.

want to go yoga everyday, but will have to increase the course fee...now not working, no income...dunno whether i shd a not.

oh! forgot to add, i had lunch with dama and ken at taka yesterday. guess wat? we saw weng shi han :) they chatted for awhile first, so i just stood there and smile. then he ask me, if i'm wanjun? wow! he remembers me! but of coz, i corrected him that i'm wanxin...

i didnt really know him. when i was an intern, dun see him very often, and when i'm pe, he already left... we had lunch together in the end. very happy!

at night, we all went to had seafood dinner. shiok! stupid cruz didnt come...say he spring cleaning his house...sign...never give face ah! haha...

phoebe has 2 little teeth!

aiyo, mum called me...told me that while she is talking to a neighbour, the neighbour ask how come little phoebe has grown a tooth?
mum then realise that a white little tooth is sprouting out from her gums! so fast! phoebe only going to turn 5 mths and she has a small little tooth...

MIL says that usually teeth grow in pairs...she only has one, so its call "gu kee". "gu" - being gu du (alone). but also sounds like gugu (auntie)...so phoebe'e gugu needs to buy a pair of shoes for her.... so funny, got this kind of tradition. but ok lah, got one free pair of shoe, why not??? haha...cheapo mama...

but a week later, another tooth sprout out side by side... so phoebe has 2 little teeth :)

time flies...3 months

I'm fastwarding my posts as i'm so behind time!

little phoebe is growing fast..she's always happy and smiles at everybody who plays with her..she is so adorable!!!!!! feel like eating her up, coz she's so sweet.

but she also quite temperamental lah...she always wants pp to carry her and play with her. if not, she will cry for attention!

phoebe is 3 months old...she can lie on her tummy and she started to flip 1 side! wat an achievement. when we see her flip, we were so happy...i started to think that there are a lot of things that we take for granted in life. we were never born to be able to walk, flip etc....a baby is really so vulnerable, she depends on us to feed her, carry her...

mama and papa really loves phoebe a lot! we are really fortunate to have such a cute baby...

phoebe 3 weeks old....colic!

dunno why phoebe suddenly cry and cry non-stop. and her screams are all so high pitch. i'm so worried. we thot she would stop after awhile, but didnt. at ard 8pm, quickly send her to the baby clinic at bishan.

the doc treat her like small case like that....tap on her tummy, say there's a lot of wind. when we ask why she didnt put put everyday, he actually said that she's not feeding enuf, no inout, how to output....make me feel so sad. am i too stubborn? bec i have been feeding breastmilk. is she really not feeding enuf? the doc say enfalac is quite gd, similac is not as good...so after the consultation that costs us $88, we went to buy enfalac!

god knows, when we feed her enfalac, she got constipation for a few days and her stools were hard! dun tink that brand suits her....make little phoebe cry as she needs to "gek" very hard...my poor phoebe. stupid doc and his advice! switch back to breastfeeding!

confinement....

always wanted to breastfeed my baby...partly its good for baby, and partly is because can slim down fast :) hahaa...selfish mummy....
anyway, during confinement, there's always conflicts between my mum and MIL....older generation always feel that baby doesn't get enough milk as they can't see how much they consume. but if we were to supplement, the demand will drop and the flow will drop too...

its the toughest period of my life as i have to deal with explanations and objections.
also, the way we bring up kids. for my mum, she's bubbly and chirpy. always talks loudly to phoebe.. there's nothing wrong of coz, but sometimes i feel that phoebe wants quiet times...
then there's the issue of pacifiers. why give pacifiers so early? mum is not happy that we do not want to give phoebe pacifier, saying its a hard time for her....blah blah...
MIL feels that phoebe is not drinking enough, thus not wanting to sleep....i not eating enuf so not producing milk. sigh...

then baby also complain...say mummy always carry phoebe, he got no chance to carry. instead of him consoling me, become i console him...aiyo!

but all is good experience...and evrybody is so gan cheong bec they love phoebe baby..that's all i need :)

lil' phoebe is out!

- 24th May, 9am

cant really sleep the night before. woke up super early, say 7am? my appt for induction was 10am. but kan cheong me left the house at 8.45am to KKH.
reported at the counter, and was brought to the delivery ward. striped on the belts, to see phoebe's heartbeat. apparently, there are some contractions but i cant feel a thing.
at abt 11am, doc came to see me, and he did a VE. i am 3 cm dilated! no need for induction. just put on drip, break waterbag and wait lor. shd be able to deliver by 6pm...
very happy! and excited. baby was with me :)

at 12pm, a doc came to inject epidural. i was very scared, have to curl myself up for the injection. its very difficult, with a big tummy. baby went out and he wasnt ard....after a few attempts, the doc told me that she can't administer as i was not bending enuf...i tried again, and suddenly there is a little finger holding my hand. its baby! he's back.
with his help, i manage to bend more and finally the epidural was injected!

1pm, another doc came to break my water bag. with the epidural, i can't feel a thing.
i just felt very tired throughout, but cant sleep well though. i dont feel any pain, baby also nothing to do, so went out to buy 4D!

ard 6pm, nurse checked and say i am only 5-6 cm dilated...still early. so i hope maybe 8pm...

another nurse came to see me at 8 plus, told me that my doc went to sengkang clinic! huh? then what if i need to deliver? guess, doc foresee that i need another few hours....
i started to feel contractions slowly. its very very painful! its not wat i have expected. i thot its tummy pain, but its not! its pain at the pain from left to right and down...my gosh! asked for increased dosage of epidural...

11pm...cervix still 7-8cm dilated....oh! how! contractions getting stronger. i practise my pant pant hoo....but its still very painful. keep on asking the nurses to check if i'm dilated...also saw streaks of blood in my urine.

12am, 25th May, the day of my EDD.
doc came and suggested that i go for emergency caeser. apparently phoebe is pressing on my bladder and her heartbeat is also not very stable. i wanted so much to continue waiting. i mean i have waited for 12 hours, then go for caeser, so bu gan yuan! i cry and cry....baby was with me, encouraging me.
so no choice, have to go into the operating room. super increase dosage of epidural. everything was done within 15mins and i am in the theatre. very scary and i am alone! baby cant come in.

i can see the nurses and doc, passing equipments ard...doc was talking abt how busy he was, where he just ate breakfast, lunch and dinner an hour ago! so funny. and i cld feel my tummy moving, like being cut! of coz, i didnt feel pain lah. but suddenly doc press on my tummy and push twice, he told me he's getting the baby's head out...
and within sec, at 1.14am, i heard phoebe cry!

the process

After the last checkup with Dr Kenneth Wong, he advised that i shd go for induction as the due date is getting near and there's no sign of delivery.
Phoebe is also quite big already. I went for the checkup alone, so when the doc told me, i was quite scared. I have to book the delivery date on the spot....so i called baby to let him know and to discuss.
i can't imagine, the date is really coming! i settled for 24th May. seems like the only day that we are free...hahaa....

when will we see lil' phoebe? her due date is supposed to be 25th may 06....
i've been marking out dates in my calendar on the computer table...
on 20th may (abt there la, cant remember liao), i went to see dr kenneth. he said phoebe is already 3.3kg, and i'm short (dunno wat does it matter?) so he advised me to go for induction.
i set the date for 24th may...scary....
